About the Author
Earl R. Babbie graduated from Harvard University before enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corps. He received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, and began teaching shortly thereafter. Never found a textbook so frustrating!

The definitions for terms are very long and drawn out. Examples piled on top of examples make chapters very long, drawn out and distracting to read and comprehend. Sentences are also long and drawn out with too many added prepositions. Over all, just hard to stay focused on a particular topic.

This book is simple and easy to read. The chapters end with a quick review of the main points. So if you are in a rush and do not have time to study, it helps a lot.
